  1. NURSING
My dream of being and Oncology nurse. Growing up I never wanted to follow in the footsteps of my mother. My mother and I never really got along like a mother daughter should. No matter I was in the terrible tweens. In high school I never did very well so my junior year I decided to go to Apollo Career Center for marketing management and business. I loved it there, I felt like I really found what I wanted to do. That school year was perfect I made friends easily had a 4.0 G.P.A. I was working at the Shawnee road McDonalds. Everything was going great! Until later on in the school year at the beginning of April my marketing teacher Mrs. Grim had made the announcement that the marketing management program was going to be cancelled. She gave our class 3 options. Transfer to a different program, go back to your home school, and enroll at Elida for the marketing management program there. I could not transfer programs because the other classes I wanted to take were all 2 year courses and we could not get into the program half way through. I hated my home school of Bath I disliked a lot of people there. Then for my senior year I did not want to be starting all over with friends and teachers. I decided to go back to Bath. I was devastated with all of the options.
The same week my marketing class was being closed I had devastating news from every different direction. My mother started having some minor medical problems nothing that was untreatable though. My grandmother stayed at our house so she was there to help out around the house. We loved it the more she stayed the better it got to be home. I loved my grandma! She would never tell anyone she wasn’t feeling well. One day her health had gotten progressively worse. We ended up rushing to Lima Memorial ER. Within hours she was admitted and diagnosed with stage 4 cancer all over her body. Within 5 days she was gone. Ever since that fateful day in April I wanted to work with cancer patients and help get the family through the tough times like mine had to go through. I felt like that week had decided my fate for me.

  2. The Tutor Center
Today was the first day I went to the English skill center. I was so intimidated never because I didn't know anything there or where anything was. I first went the the math and science skill center thinking it was the same thing. So from there they directed me to the first floor. Looking the the English center glass windows I did not see a tutor at first so I just thought what the heck why not I'm here. I walked in logged in and took a seat. After pulling out all of my english papers I looked around and I could not find a tutor so I walked up to the front desk and asked for help and the lady told me Ashley will be here any minute I'll send her over to you. Once Ashley was there she was extremely helpful and I plan on going back to her on Monday. I made my first appointment for the skills center! I call this place so many things if you have not noticed skill center, English tutor, and the tutoring place. They all mean the same to me.

  3. I'm glad that you're taking the time to go to the tutoring center. It takes a lot of confidence to seek a tutor, and it only helps you in the long run! I love tutors! :)

  4. House Hunting
Recently my boyfriend , 2 family friends and I have been looking for a house. It has been so stressful. The second I get my hopes set on a house it all comes falling down. We are looking to rent a home with at least a 3 bedroom. So that is hard enough to find as it is, and on top of that the boys need a two care garage to put all of their stuff in. Considering they go to The University of Northwestern Ohio for high performance. No house around here fits are needs. We have found a couple houses off of a website but when we went to look at them in person the agents did not know anything about the house. I knew more than he did considering we thought we were looking at a 4 bedroom 2 bath but when we got there the house was only a 3 bedroom and they refused to rent to us just because we were students. I was irate after that point so irate I got onto the Better Business Bauru (BBB) about a week later.
Now we are looking at one of our friends houses. It is for sale right now but they have had no luck with is so they are considering renting it out. Lucky for us we are on the top of that list. So we will find out here in a couple of days to see if we got it. Wish us luck!!

    1. Hey, Michelle! That is a really big stinker that it has been ever so hard trying to find a house with your boyfriend and friends. I can really relate with you with the constant change of plans, the problems with the leasing, prices, and house characteristics. See, next year, I am planning on going to Bowling Green State University, and for the longest time (two years, to be exact) I have been solely set on living with my sister, who coincidentally is my best friend, my cousin, and her boyfriend. They are all living in Perrysburg, which is about fifteen minutes up north from Bowling Green, and I was dead set on moving in with them for the fall semester of 2013. Again, I was ever so looking forward to moving in there and being independent and responsible, until about a month ago. They said that they were planning to all move to a different house, but did not know where. So, now we are all searching in the advertisements of newspapers, on the internet, and connections with our friends, and it has been really hard deciding on what house we would get. For example, this one particular house looks phenomenal, but the issue is that we all go to different jobs/ colleges so we all have our separate cars: and this house has no parking lots or garages. Another thing that popped up is that this one house is beautiful, but it is extremely too small, and pricey for that matter. Oh geese, growing up is oh so fun isn’t it?

  5. Happy Black Friday! 
Well Thanksgiving went well for the family and everyone had a good time cooking and catching up with distant family. My family always eats on holidays at one o clock. After we ate at one I had to go straight to bed because I had to go straight to work at midnight. Sadly I could not get to sleep at all so I knew it was going to be a long shift. To make things worse my sister, boyfriend, and I went to Walmart on 309 at 8 pm on thanksgiving. We only went for a couple things and luckily the things we were going for were right in a row in the back by the electronics. We went to get an ottoman, some big picture frames, and Tupperware. I was so surprised to see how nice everyone was. People were helping other people out and some lady even helped my put stuff in my cart. I was shocked I was expecting to fight someone for something but not anywhere close. After it took forever to check out we went to the other walmart across town to get blue ray players. They are a perfect gift for someone. However there everyone was nice but in the checkout line we got cut off by some very rude people. Once I got to work at Bath and Body works we were all bracing for the worst. All I did from midnight to eight am was bag products. My boyfriend had to pick me up after work there was no way I was going to be able to drive home. Hope everyone had a good holiday!

  6. Hey! To start off I love Black Friday and going shopping, I am not super crazy about it like I do not think about it all year or anything but when the time comes it is really exciting. And I don’t know if it is the fact that I am going out with my friends or getting pretty good deals. It is kind of funny though because a lot places do not have very good deals or they always have that deal. Like Bath and Body Works has the Buy 3, Get 3 Free deal a lot. Anyway, I always go to Wal-Mart first just to see what they have, if it is worth buying for but mainly I go to see all the crazy people fighting over things. At my Wal-Mart they started unwrapping things at 8 and I went around 7 and people were hovered over things and lined up and had their carts and were ready to buy stuff. It was kind of funny because people get really serious about it, but I guess I cannot make too much fun because I might be one of those people one of these days. Anyway, after we went to Wal-Mart we went to Tuttle Mall in Columbus because I wanted to get Victoria’s Secret deals. Which were decent but I mean really the store could do a little better with their deals. They let us in at 11:45 into the mall and the stores did not open until 12, well we were all crowded around the door which had a gate down. When they let that gate up girls were diving under there and everything! And I grabbed some hoodies at the first table and there was so much pushing that I got shoved up against a table and people were pushing me and the table forward and one girl could not get through so she jumped over the table to get to the other side! It was so crazy!

  7. Hey there! This previous Black Friday was the first black Friday that I ever went shopping for, and, wow, it was absolutely and positively crazy. To disclaim, I pretty much didn’t really want to exactly go black Friday shopping, but me and a couple of my friends were really bored of the Thursday night, and thought we might as well go shopping. So, here I am, slightly tired, but wanting to at least do SOMETHING with my friends. When we roll up to the Lima Wal-Mart, I was in complete and utter awe. The amount of people there waiting to get in and get what they want was completely astonishing to me. Not only that, but there were people in tents and sleeping bags so I deduced that they were there for at least twenty four hours, if not more! So, after being in the store for about ten minutes, I pretty much gave up on buying anything for the sole fact that there was such a long line for every check out cashier. I couldn’t help but feel pity for the workers. After this, we went to Finish Line in the Lima Mall, and that was as, if not even more, frightening. When I was in line waiting, I heard some elderly woman state that she was “going to get her shoes and plow down any one in her path.” This was scary as heck because I was right in front of her, and I honestly didn’t really feel like getting ran over by a grandma because she was really digging those Pumas on the top shelf. So, in the end, I think I am just going to stray away from Black Friday Shopping.
